چکیده
Rural communities around Akure forest reserve depend mostly on and its products for their livelihoods, which results in high rate of deforestation. Meanwhile, the Reducing Emissions from Deforestation Degradation programme (REDD+), one international forest-governance initiatives to address sustainable anagement climate change mitigation has been introduced reserve. This research investigated socio-economic status reserve, level dependence resources awareness perception about REDD+ project. Six were selected randomly readiness phase Data collected through household survey with use semi-structured questionnaire administered 120 respondents (household heads) as well information 6 key informants (village heads). Therefore, enhance effectiveness implementation, there should be an increase communities.

Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) has received strong support as a major component of future global climate change policy. The financial mechanism of REDD+ is payment for the ecosystem service of carbon sequestration in tropical forests that is expected to create incentives for conservation of forest cover and condition. However, the costs of achieving emission...

A Little REDD Model Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation
A simple model allows rapid comparison of typical baseline and policy scenarios which might be considered under international programs to avoid CO2 emissions caused by forest clearing, such as REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation). These tests of REDD policy scenarios can also include CO2 stored in forest products. The value of avoided emissions can also be determi...
